MEET DR. CAMPOS

A family chiropractor in Tulsa

Dr. Gabriela Campos opened Scion to be the kind of office she would want for her own family: a clear explanation first, a plan you agree to, and no pressure. She sees parents, children, teachers and desk workers from Midtown and across Tulsa.

At your first visit she asks about your history, examines how you move, and explains what she finds and the options, including the risks of each. You decide what happens next.

  • Exam first

Every new patient starts with a history and an exam.

  • Plain words

Findings, options and risks explained so you can decide.

  • Your decision

You can say no to any part of care, or stop, at any time.

    Your options explained

She explains what she found, the options, the risks of each, and what each would cost.

  • 03

    Care only if you agree

Treatment starts that day only if you say yes, and you can stop at any time.

  • 04

    A plan you can change

If you choose a plan, she goes over it with you, and the front desk books your next visit.

How we work

We explain first, then you decide

We keep the plan simple. If your symptoms need a physician’s attention instead, we tell you.

    Exam first

Dr. Campos examines how you move before she suggests anything, and takes an X-ray only when it is medically necessary.

  • Older man lifting light dumbbells at home

    Your pace

You can say no to any part of care, ask to slow down, or stop at any time.

  • A practitioner explains a colorful spine model to a seated woman in a bright clinic

    Plain explanations

We show you what we found, name the risks and options, and answer your questions before you decide.

Questions before your first visit

Plain answers. The FAQ page has the rest.

01What happens at my first appointment?

Plan on about 60 minutes. Dr. Campos asks about your history, examines how you move, explains what she found and what the options are, and you decide what happens next. Care starts that day only if you agree. Wear clothes you can move in; you stay dressed for the exam.

02Is chiropractic care safe?

Chiropractic care is widely used and generally well tolerated, but it carries risks, as any care does. Some people are sore for a day or so afterward. Rarely, a neck adjustment has been linked to a tear in an artery, which can lead to a stroke. Dr. Campos asks about your history first, explains the risks before any adjustment, and sends you to a physician first when that is the better step.

03Will an adjustment hurt?

Many people feel little during an adjustment, and you may hear a popping sound. Some feel sore afterward, like after a new workout. Tell Dr. Campos at any point and she will change what she is doing or stop. Low-force techniques are available.

04How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and goes over it with you as you go. We do not name a number of visits before we have examined you, and you can change or end the plan at any time.

05Do you take my insurance?

We bill many insurance plans, and what a plan pays for chiropractic visits differs from plan to plan. Our front desk checks your benefits before your first visit and calls you with what they find. The How fees work page has the details.

06Can my child come, or can I come while pregnant?

Children are welcome with a parent or guardian, who stays in the room. For children and for pregnancy we use gentle, low-force techniques. We do not claim that chiropractic care treats childhood illnesses or changes how a pregnancy or birth goes.
